Sheen (Gloss Level)

Sheen (Gloss Level): The degree of light reflection from a dried paint film. Common sheens include Matte (flat), Eggshell, Satin, Semi-Gloss, and High-Gloss, each suited for different areas and durability needs.

  • Matt: Least reflective, good for hiding imperfections, but less durable/washable.

  • Satin/Low Sheen: Slightly reflective, more durable and washable than matt, common for walls in rental properties.

  • Semi-Gloss: More reflective, very durable and washable, ideal for trim, doors, and bathrooms.
